DEVaSTATION ARC

Things are looking up for the marines: Revelation City is fortified and Marinecorps is once again booming with activity. The city has never been safer, and various attempts to destroy the city from the Red Pants Army and Mira's forces have so far failed.

However, the marines were so focused on the glow of the sun that they could not see the rumbling clouds slowly forming. Their well-earned peace would only last a little while before a storm would come that none of them could have truly prepared for. One day, in Age 995, Mirrow and Jaryan were patrolling the city when a slow rain began to fall...

Age 995

Strange winds

- Mysteriously, the Red Pants Army retreats after having held the area around the city under control for six years. Outside resistance against the marines becomes nonexistent.

- Rumors begin circling the city about a new military organization on the rise.

GLOBAL

- A strange human appears in the city, speaking of a powerful resistance by the name of Global. Claims are made of a world without continuous bloodshed, a return to the days of peace and order. An invitation is suddenly made for all inhabitants of the city to leave and join the organization, with a prophecy of future doom for the city at the hands of "Mira".

- A week later, messengers wearing a strange symbol begin randomly appearing throughout the city, continuing to make the claims of the first. Gossip begins to spread.

- Tofu visits West City to see his parents he had once despised, and comes to find he has a softer spot for them than he once did. Deciding to help keep the city safe, he builds a small house on the plains outside of West City and lives there, helping keep savage animals and other forces from entering the city unknown to its inhabitants.

- Hearing of some androids causing trouble near the plains, he runs over to investigate. After sneaking past some robots, he finds a laboratory hidden within a nearby forest.

- Upon attempting to sneak in Tofu gets attacked by some androids. As the battle began the androids were called to retreat by a mysterious figure, who revealed himself to be Tofu's long-lost uncle.

- Through a long-winded monologue, the uncle explains that Tofu was abducted as a child and experimented upon by him in order to implant Saiyan DNA into him. The goal was to create perfect beings through species mutation, as previous attempts to create an artificial life form had failed.

- Learning the disgusting truth of his unusual strength and potential, Tofu attacked his uncle in rage, only to be thrown aside by his uncle's far superior mutated strength. He throws his nephew out and destroys the lab, stating that he looks forward to seeing how Tofu would continue to grow. Tofu promises to continue getting stronger and one day get his revenge.

Reunion

Age 996

Disappearances

- The city's leaders suddenly begin vanishing. Dumke attempts to keep people calm, but fails to stop rumors from spreading.

- The messengers begin appearing in a more continual rate. Marinecorps becomes directly involved in forcibly removing them from the city.

- A few residents pack their bags and leave their city. Their destinations are unknown.

Unease

- The city leaders remain missing. More people leave the city. The economy starts to weaken.

- Rumors of elections for leadership begin to circulate. Civilians begin to worry.

- The first riot breaks. Civilians protest against the disappearances of leadership and complain about quality of life. Messengers are spotted in the riot. Marinecorps is forced to get involved and stop the conflict.

- Rumors of another large city begin circulating, one under the banner of Global. After a few weeks, fliers begin appearing the mail inviting everyone to Global City, a city created by the Global Resistance.

- Local businesses start putting up moving signs without explanation.

- Jaryan disappears.

Age 997

Investigation

- Marines begin quitting the force without explanation. Harmoni, Fever, and Broly all mysteriously vanish, much to Shy's disappointment.

-Mirrow finds a farewell letter in one of the soldier's lockers speaking of leaving the failing city and joining Global for a new hope.

- Suspicious and heavily concerned, Mirrow sends Shy and I3lue to track the missing soldiers and find Global.

- They return with reports of a grand and bustling city under construction, and sights of familiar missing faces. The organization appeared to be more of a city than a simple military organization. Their law enforcement was reported to be on the level of Marinecorps or higher. No mention of the missing town leaders.

- Mirrow sends Shy on another recruitment expedition in the hopes of making up for lost soldiers. Shy does not return for the rest of the year.

- I3lue mysteriously vanishes.

GLOBAL CITY RISES

- Global City raises its banners on Papaya Island. Run by a strange man by the name of Daneos, the city claims to be a safe haven where the weak can become strong and all can prosper.

- Civilians begin leaving Revelation City en mass. Dumke makes heavy efforts to restore leadership, but none answer his call. The economy rates drop, businesses continue to close.

- Dumke begins investigating Global City on his own, discovers concerning deals between Daneos and some unknown sources, along with finding stolen resources and funds from the city itself. However, in his position, he finds himself incapable of doing anything and waits worried for days to come.

Shy's journey

- As Shy entered Korin Woods on his way to West City, the young Majin was surprised to find a young man chasing after a large dinosaur in an attempt to cut of a piece of its tail. After being assisted, the man introduced himself as Tofu, a hermit who spent his time living by himself in a hut outside of the woods. Intrigued by the community offered by Shy, Tofu happily accepted the invitation.

- After reaching West City Shy spent a week advertising for the guild. While most simply ignored him during the first few days, Shy noticed one young human girl staring at his booth with curiosity and interest. However after realizing she had been noticed, her face turned red and she ran off. Nothing else of note occurred that day.

- On the last day of recruitment, Manphu, an odd but tactical man with an eye for women, took interest and signed up. Having recently been engaged to a fine woman and was now looking for fulfilling work, the peace-keeping organization seemed promising. No one else even checked out the booth.

- Group returns to Revelations City, where Manphu and Tofu are officially welcomed by Mirrow. While Shy is somewhat depressed by the lack of success, he happily welcomes his new comrades.

Age 998

competition

- Angered at the uprising of Global and its sketchy origins, loyal residents of Revelation City began protests in both cities. In response Global returned fire with their own protests. After a month full-scale political warfare came from both sides. Daneos openly declared it meaningless while Dumke openly distanced himself from the controversy, but it was far too late.

- Mirrow kept his eye on Global City; however his caution has begun to turn to curiosity much to the frustration of Tofu and a few of the remaining members, while many shared Mirrow's view. Discussions were kept civil, but a slow divide had begun to form. Within the next few months, most of the remaining Marinecorps members left Revelation City, with only Shy's squad staying behind.

- During a small flight of self-discovery where Shy pondered over the conflicting sides, he happened to notice a lone girl traversing up the side of a nearby mountain. Upon further inspection, Shy recognized her as the girl from West City and very curious, flew down.

- The girl was just as flustered as before, but this time did not run. After inquiring the girl explained that she wanted to help people but was far too nervous to do much about it. Interested in the girl's pure spirit and determined to recruit her, Shy walked the young girl to her house. After explaining to her mother and getting reluctant permission, Shy flew her back to Revelations City where she was welcomed with open arms.

- Conflict between the two cities continued. While Dumke simply removed troublemakers from the city, Global began to respond to protestors through violence and intimidation. Loyal citizens of Revelation City were reported suspiciously missing and protestors often came home with scars and bruises. While the remaining residents began to become more cautious about their actions, it would not prepare them for the disaster to come.

Age 999

Devestation

- 20% of the Revelation City's population remains.

- Suddenly full scale assault of an unknown force is suddenly made on Revelation City. Mirrow and the few remaining fighters and guilds attempt to fight back at first, but are no match for their overwhelming numbers and technology.

- Understanding the situation, Dumke orders city-wide evacuation. Frustrated by Dumke's lack of resolve and loss of faith, Mirrow flees the battlefield to return to his home. The front line weakened, the forces burst through the city gates and begin leveling the city.

- Shy takes charge out of desperation and commands every remaining member to evacuate on Squad Ship #3. Only Lati, Tofu, and Manphu make it on the ship in time. As they leave the docks, the ship is hit with a massive blast and is badly damaged, barely staying afloat but managing to escape as it disappeared on the horizon.

- Revelation City is completely destroyed, with nothing but broken buildings and shattered glass remaining. MarineCorps HQ is burned to the ground.

- Dumke travels to West City for the time being with most of the remaining civilians.

TIME patrol

- Dumke and the survivors of the incident are suddenly approached by Future Trunks, a member of the Time Patrol, the organization created to prevent time from being abused or manipulated.

- He explains the alien forces being connected to Mira, and the story that went along with this mysterious being. He also mentions Global City's destruction, and his inability to find a single survivor, suggesting all of the inhabitants were likely killed or captures.

- Trunks invites them all to join the Time Patrol along with some other old inhabitants of Revelations City in the hopes of stopping the great evil that had ruined his dream and the dreams of so many others. They agree to join upon the condition that once the organization was defeated, that the Time Patrol would help Dumke rebuild what was once lost, along with a place to stay for now.
